The Northeast League had a brief and unsettled run.  Formed by minor league stalwart Miles Wolff in 1995, the league merged with one of Wolff’s other indy leagues, the Northern League, for the 1999 season.  In 2003 the league was again on its own, but folded following the 2004 season, its teams moving into the Can-Am League.
